What is Whey Protein?
Whey is the English term for whey. Milk protein fundamentally consists of two main protein components: Casein and Whey. Typically, both fractions are separated from one another and processed individually, which is why Whey and Casein protein powders are often available separately. Our product contains exclusively Whey.
Whey is generally characterised by an extremely high proportion of essential amino acids. The more essential amino acids a protein contains, the more valuable it is for the body and the higher its biological value.
Whey Protein is offered in three forms: With Whey Concentrate, the protein is merely concentrated. This increases the protein content of the powder, but the carbohydrate and fat content remains comparatively high. With Whey Isolate, the protein content rises further and fat and carbohydrates are hardly present – this is the purest form of Whey Protein. We exclusively use Whey Protein Isolate with almost 90% protein content.
Additionally, this protein can be pre-digested ("hydrolysed") to break down the larger proteins and further improve digestibility. We also stock such a Whey Protein Hydrolysate.
The following health claims are approved for proteins:
- Protein contributes to an increase in muscle mass
- Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass
- Protein contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
- Protein is necessary for normal growth and development of bones in children.

Whey Protein and Isolate are available on the market in abundance. If you want to differentiate yourself in terms of quality nowadays, the protein must meet a variety of special standards.
We source our Whey Protein exclusively and certified from Ireland, from Irish grass-fed cows. Ireland is not only the country with the world's highest standards in milk production. Thanks to the maritime climate, the pastures there are of outstanding quality and provide the grazing animals with excellent nutrition.
- Over 90% of animal feed is grass – from the pasture where the cows graze.
- Under these conditions, the animals can graze outdoors for approximately 300 days a year.
- The animals thrive with a maximum herd size of 70 animals.
- Traditional agricultural methods and a rigorous validation system in Ireland ensure that production is as sustainable as possible with a low carbon footprint.
Manufacturing Excellence
There are various manufacturing processes for extracting Whey Protein. Our protein undergoes a so-called CFM process, whereby the protein is micro- and ultrafiltered. A manufacturing process referred to as a premium process, in which the Whey Protein is gently concentrated and cold-processed at a maximum of 70 degrees Celsius. The use of chemicals is not necessary. Additionally, the protein achieves perfect solubility through the use of sunflower lecithin.

VERZEHREMPFEHLUNG:
Pro Portion 25 g Pulver (= ca. 2-3 gehäufte Esslöffel) in ein Glas mit 250 ml kaltem Wasser einrühren, alternativ auch in einen Mixbecher geben und schütteln. 1 Portion täglich trinken – idealerweise rund um das Training.
