To be precise, they belong to the subclass of flavonoids and flavanols. Green tea catechins such as the well-known \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/edubily.de\/products\/gruntee-extrakt\"\u003eEGCG\u003c\/a\u003e or ECG also belong to the latter group. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn fact, OPC are catechins that mostly combine to form di- and trimers, thus forming a kind of catechin chain (see illustration). They naturally occur in apples, wild blackberries or the red skins of peanuts, for example. Due to their property as free radical scavengers, OPC have strong antioxidative effects. In direct comparison under laboratory conditions, they act as an antioxidant 18 times stronger than vitamin C and 40 times stronger than vitamin E. Conversely, OPC appears to enhance the effects of other antioxidants, such as vitamin C, vitamin E or \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/edubily.de\/products\/vitamin-a-retinol\"\u003evitamin A\u003c\/a\u003e, to strengthen. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn the form of a supplement – such as OPC Complex Capsules – OPC can be mainly absorbed via a grape seed extract (GSE). This has a very high content of OPC and thus serves as an optimal source. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003eThe edubily® OPC Complex\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor our OPC Complex, we use, amongst other things, branded raw materials based on red grapes from France. We are of the opinion that taking seed extracts alone is not physiological. Therefore, we deliberately resort to extracts of whole grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur extract is made from the whole grape, i.e. skin, pulp and seeds.
