The Most Important Coronavirus Study… on Zinc?
Perhaps the most impressive publication appears in the journal Clinical Infectious Diseases, which ranks among the best in immunology. The study examined the effectiveness of zinc.
A total of 470 people participated in this high-quality double-blind study (RCT), in which, starting from COVID-19 diagnosis confirmed by PCR test, participants received either a placebo or 2×25 mg of zinc.

"In summary, a 15-day course of oral zinc treatment in patients with COVID-19 resulted in an almost 40% reduction in mortality and intensive care unit admission and shortened the duration of symptoms."
Isn't that sensational? More than that? How many people might have been protected through such simple zinc supplementation? Even if the results had been less pronounced in a larger population?

The Physiological Importance of Zinc
Zinc really is a wonder substance – but with quirks. In the body, after iron, zinc is relatively abundant, but it's locked away in tissues and only a small portion can be quickly mobilized when needed. But that portion is just as quickly depleted and always needs replenishment through food.
This is precisely why zinc appears to work so well in this study. Because under great stress conditions – such as an infection – zinc turnover is simply significantly increased.

Of course, we read nothing about this study in the media. Most reports say that micronutrients don't help and that overdose is very dangerous.
